I worked at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Maryland before becoming a stay-at-home Mom and active community volunteer for over 18 years. I’ve held many leadership positions in non-profit organizations including: Member, Board of Trustees, Chizuk Amuno Congregation, beginning 2006; Board Member, CHANA (Counseling, Helpline and Aid Network for Abused Women) 1997 – present; Board Member, Women’s Department, Associated Jewish Charities, 2005 to present; VP of Education, Parent Association, Beth Tfiloh School, 1998; member Chizuk Amuno Ritual Committee, 2002-present; member Chizuk Amuno Sisterhood 1995 – present. Gary and I have had the privilege of living and serving in this community for over twenty years. I am so proud of my husband for choosing to continue serving the public by running for the United States Congress. I met Gary while we were both undergraduates at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn). Gary continued at Penn for his M.D., while I received my Masters in Human Services Management from Brandeis University. We married and moved to Maryland’s 3rd District over 20 years ago so that Gary could complete his Medical Residency and Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Bay View Medical Center. Our two sons, Michael, 19 and Philip, 15 were both born at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Michael will be a freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park Scholars this fall and Philip will continue at the Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community High School as a sophomore.
